Through York University's Health Studies program, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a team and with Toronto Grace Health Centre to implement better patient experiences.
In-field collection of data was developed through interviews conducted with both inpatients' and their families. By upholding patient anonymity, to bring our finding to the organization stakeholders. The outcome encourage real data and insights from the inpatients and families for more wellness programs and activities tailored to the patients' suggestions.
Healthy Stay Volunteer

This volunteer position involved
increasing inpatients to stay physically and mentally active during their hospital stay. Simple exercises for inpatients were provided such as arms, legs, shoulders, and wrists/ankle exercises for those that wish to participate in efforts to make their stay comfortable and healthy. For those who wish not to participate or could not participate, communication is established with the inpatient to keep their minds healthy by using friendly conversation or reading material to engage with. This position gave patients the ability to daily stimulation whether it was emotionally, mentally or physically 12-hours a day.
